2024 LB Jeremiah Marcelin updates recruitment

FSU recently offered state linebacker Jeremiah Marcelin, but the list of offers for the 6-3, 225-pound candidate from Norland High School in Miami, Fla., continued to expand.
In his junior season, Marcelin was a 2nd All-State team after recording 25 solo tackles, 62 total tackles and 9.5 sacks in 11 games. Marcelin is recruited by FSU as a linebacker and is in regular contact with linebacker coach Randy Shannon.
“Overall, it’s just a good, well-developed program,” said Marcelin about his overall perception of the FSU. “And great coaches. I have good relationships with the coaches at a different level because the two main recruiters I hear about are graduates from my school.”
What is his favorite aspect of FSU defense?
“These front seven,” said Marcelin. “There’s a lot of production going on up there because of the defensive coaches around those positions.”
A dynamic perspective, Marcelin’s past as a defensive edge has impacted his abilities as a linebacker.
“Definitely flashing,” Marcelin said when asked what he does best. “But this year I’m going to improve the coverage a lot more, so it will even out.”
Marcelin had previously mentioned that FSU is high on his list of favorite schools, but he’s since admitted his recruiting has fully opened up, saying, “I don’t have a setlist yet.”
