In the last recruiting cycle, Arkansas got the signing of Pinson, Alabama safety TJ Metcalf, and the Hogs will be looking to get his brother Tevis’ signing.

Tevis Metcalf has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado and more. He will be visiting Arkansas during Woo Pig Weekend on April 15th. At 12:00 p.m. that day, football spring scrimmage begins in Arkansas, the baseball team plays Tennessee in a deciding series, and the softball team hosts Alabama-Birmingham.

Metcalf, rated a 5.6 three-star recruit, reportedly intercepted four passes, abandoned seven passes and allowed just one catch for Pinson Valley High School last season.

Tevis and TJ are both cousins to Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, who played college football at Ole Miss.

Four-star wide receiver plans return trip to Arkansas

After a trip to Fayetteville during one of Arkansas’ Prospect Days on Jan. 21, four-star wide receiver Zion Kearney has plans for a return trip in the summer.

Kearney, who released a Top 6 that included the Hogs on February 16, will be back in Arkansas on June 2 for an official visit.

“They wanted to be first,” he said of the Razorbacks. “I went to Arkansas for junior day. I like the coaching staff, everyone is country but they are cool. Coach G is from Houston so we were able to connect very quickly. That’s what it is for me.”

Last season he recorded 39 receptions for 765 yards and eight touchdowns. He injured his wrist in the final game of the season but was cleared to compete in track and field for that season.

In addition to Arkansas, Kearney is considering Oklahoma, Nebraska, LSU, Texas A&M and Houston.

This weekend, Arkansas will be hosting a five-star athlete in KJ Bolden of Buford, Georgia, and two state prospects who already have offers from the Hogs, as well as other recruits.

In-state four-star linebacker receives offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State

The Hogs are trailing Jonesboro linebacker Brian Huff heavily in the 2024 class, but they have some competition.

The four-star Valley View High School linebacker reported an offer from Oklahoma on Monday and an offer from Big 12 champion Kansas State on Thursday.

Huff will be on the Arkansas campus next weekend, his fourth trip to Fayetteville. In addition to the above schools, the #3 player in the state of Arkansas has offers from LSU, the state of Oklahoma, Missouri and others.

Four-star quarterback visits Arkansas

Arkansas is still without a quarterback in the Class of 2024 and will host the No. 11 pro-style quarterback on March 13.

Air Noland already has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and more. In addition to Arkansas, he will visit Clemson, Miami, Texas A&M and Ohio State in March.

This will be the 6-foot-3, 190-pound passer’s first trip to Fayetteville. He has visited Auburn several times and also saw Alabama and Texas A&M in January.

The Fairburn, Georgia native completed 64% of his passes for 2,600 yards and 34 touchdowns last season. He led his team to a perfect 15-0 record in 2022, capped with a 35-28 win at the state championship.

Arkansas Basketball is hosting recruits for the final home game against Kentucky

Four-star guard David Castillo will be back in Fayetteville this weekend for the Razorbacks’ regular season finale against the Kentucky Wildcats. The No. 22 rival in the Class of 2024 was in Arkansas for an unofficial visit back in September, attending the Arkansas-Oklahoma game in Tulsa.

A native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he has offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Texas Tech, Gonzaga, Illinois, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, among others. He recently paid an official visit to Kansas on February 19th.

Castillo will be in Fayetteville along with Razorback 2023 signee Baye Fall, Five-Star, No. 15 in the Rivals 2023 class. Arkansas currently has no commitments in the Class of 2024 but has many top targets in its sights, including Castillo.

Arkansas defensive tackle cleared to return to football after injury

The line of defense is a bit thin heading into the 2023 season but was strengthened on Wednesday when Taurean Carter announced on Wednesday he was cleared to return to football after suffering a cruciate ligament tear that sidelined him in 2022 kept away from the field all year round.

Carter announced this on his Twitter account on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 294-pound defenseman joined the Razorbacks in the class of 2019 and totaled 24 tackles and a sack in 2021. His return will be a welcome sight for a line of defense that lost Terry Hampton to eligibility and Isaiah Nichols to the transfer portal.
