Changes in Social Security in 2023
In 2023, social security benefits will increase by 8.7 percent.
That means Americans will see an extra $146 a month on average.
Additionally, the maximum amount of income subject to Social Security tax will increase to $160,200.
Meanwhile, the income limit for workers younger than full retirement age will be raised to $21,240.
The income limit for people who reach full retirement age in 2023 will be raised to $56,520.
There is currently no full-year income limit for employees who are of full retirement age or older.
