Front-line employees receive bonuses

Augusta, Georgia is rewarding city employees who have worked during the pandemic and were at highest risk of contracting coronavirus.

According to the plan, the money depends on the number of hours worked and the job category, according to a report by the Kennebec Journal (KJ).

For example, the majority of full-time employees in the city are eligible for a $500 bonus, while part-time employees receive $250.

But if you happen to work in public safety, security guards, shipping or garbage collection, you could be eligible for an additional $500.

Full-time employees in either of these groups would receive a total of $1,000, while part-time employees can receive $500.
