That’s more than the average price of a house in some parts of the UK.
The ad says this engine is ‘new from old stock’, meaning it has never been fitted to a car.
The engine is even in the original box it was put in after being built at Ferrari’s factory in Italy.
The buyer could display the engine as an example of one of the most beautiful and sounding petrol engines of all time.
Or they could choose to put it in a car and use it as intended.
The advert reads: “Complete engine with intakes, airbox, ancillaries and engine wiring harness.
“When mounted for display, the engine could be used as a fantastic centerpiece in any collection.
“An otherwise unattainable piece of Ferrari history; a rare opportunity to purchase a new replacement from old stock of one of the brand’s flagship models.’
The Enzo’s engine produced 651 hp at 7,800 rpm and helped the supercar go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and on to an exhilarating 350 km/h.
