A Wisconsin woman claims she saw a “dark, shadowy figure” as she stabbed her ex-boyfriend 19 times
A woman who allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend 19 times with scissors in front of her young daughter, she claimed she was having a dream and saw a “dark, shadowy figure”.
Morgan Lund, a 21 year old town Oshkosh, woman from Wisconsinpleaded not guilty to insanity for the attempted murder of her child’s father, which stemmed from an early morning February 18 incident.
forces found a crying woman – later identified as Lund – with blood covering both legs, feet, forearms and both sides of her hand, putting pressure on a man’s upper chest or right shoulder, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
The victim yelled, “What the hell is wrong with you? Why in your sleep, brother?” according to the affidavit.
She replied, “I thought I saw something,” the affidavit said.
Lund told the responding officer that “something was wrong with my head” and that she kept seeing a “dark figure” about six months before the attack, according to the affidavit.
She claimed she had no memory of waking up or attacking her child’s father.
“She had a vague memory of what could have been a dream or her imagination, but she thought (the victim) was yelling at her daughter,” the affidavit reads.
“She remembers being in the living room area at the time and seeing this dark, creepy shape on the[victim]attacking him.
“She walked over to the couch area and picked up a pair of scissors that were lying there and began ‘trying to kill the dark, ominous figure,'” the affidavit reads.
His screams brought her back to reality, Lund told the responding officer, according to the affidavit.
The two lived together in the same apartment in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and the victim is the father of Lund’s daughter, but they split about a month earlier, according to police.
Lund was allegedly “abusive” and hit him “on several occasions” while they were dating, the victim said, according to a police affidavit.
But he said she never tried to kill him or threatened to kill him.
According to the affidavit, police found “large amounts of blood” on the living room floor and couch, and blood-soaked scissors on the floor next to the couch.
