Agent Elvis gets a final trailer, cast and release date

The final trailer for the upcoming Agent Elvis animated series has arrived, providing more insights into this month’s show.

Thank you, thank you very much. Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming animated series Agent Elvisin which Matthew McConaughey voices a fictionalized version of Elvis Presley.

Elvis has been a hot commodity lately, with the most notable portrayal being Austin Butler in Baz Luhrmann’s elvis, which could well bring him an Oscar. Not only will McConaughey join Butler, but a plethora of others who have portrayed the icon, such as Kurt Russell, Michael Shannon, Bruce Campbell, and more. The list of animated Presleys is much more limited.

Matthew McConaughey has one of the most distinctive voices in movies, so his casting will definitely be a must for fans. He also leaned on his singing talent Kubo and the two strings and the To sing movies.

The voice cast also includes Kaitlin Olson, who “enjoys annoying Elvis but is always mission-minded”; Johnny Knoxville plays Elvis’ best friend; Niecy Nash as “a strong-willed mother figure who is … the only one who can take on Elvis”; Tom Kenny as a former NASA monkey; and Don Cheadle as the “mysterious spymaster who runs the covert agency” who joins Elvis. Priscilla Presley, Elvis’ ex-wife, serves as executive producer. She’ll have a cameo along with a stunningly stacked bevy of others including Ed Helms, Kieran Culkin, Fred Armisen, Simon Pegg and George Clinton.

Agent Elvis‘ official storyline: “Elvis Presley swaps his jumpsuit for a jetpack when he is secretly drafted into a secret government spy program to fight the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while continuing his job as the King of… rock and roll.”

Agent Elvis Considered to be Sony Pictures Animation’s first adult animated work, best known for the Oscar-winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The project was commissioned for the first time in 2019.

Although no official release date has been announced, Agent Elvis will cruise to Netflix this month.
