Aldi is set to open multiple locations across the country this week – is there a new supermarket coming your way?

NEW Aldi stores will open in the coming days and weeks, offering fans more shopping options.

Notably, the grocery retailer is adding two new locations in Michigan.

In fact, an opening is scheduled for today at 2009 W. Washington St., Greenville, 4883 Aldi.

Also, another Aldi will open in the state on Thursday, December 15, located at 4010 32nd Avenue Hudsonville, 49426.

This is followed by an additional location at 1181 East Caro Road, Caro, 48723, which will open on Thursday, December 8th.

Additionally, more locations will be opening in other states in the coming weeks and days which are as follows with the states and dates.

• Maryland: 3430 Emmorton Rd., Abingdon, MD 21009, December 8th

• New Jersey: 780 NJ-70, Brick, NJ O8723, December 8

• Missouri: 500 Hwy 72 West, Rolla, MO 65401, December 8th

• Ohio: 9895 Johnstown Rd., New Albany, 43054, December 22
• South Dakota: 4201 W 61st Circle N STE 140, Sioux Falls, 57107, December 8th

For most of these store openings, the band averaging occurs between 8am and 9am.

The new locations come as Aldi uncovered plans earlier this year to add 150 new stores in the US for 2022.

As of November 28, there were a total of 2,258 stores in the country.

Other Aldi changes

In recent months, Aldi has made new changes to its locations.

This also includes the extension to self-checkout – but not every customer is satisfied with the innovative step.

One shopper, who credits Cookinwithbooze on TikTok, said, “Aldi really had the audacity to introduce self-checkout when we got $250 worth of hurricane groceries.”

Aldi is also testing a new website where you can shop.

Specifically, it was tested and experimented with a small group of customers in October, and a nationwide launch may be forthcoming.

It would allow shoppers to see prices, compare products, and sort through available delivery and pickup options.

This would make it easier to see if Aldi has a particular item available and how much it costs before heading to the store.

This search function is currently not available on Aldi’s national website.

In terms of closures, Kroger is closing several stores as of this week.

Bed Bath & Beyond is closing 150 stores and laying off 20 percent of its employees.

And in the last six years, Walmart has closed 160 stores.
