Amouranth receives $70,000 gift with stern warning from fan

STREAMER Amouranth has received a gift pack from a fan containing $70,000 (£58,000), a new iPhone, a taser and a warning about her safety.

The package came after streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa revealed live on stream that she was married and accused her husband of controlling her and their stream.

Among other things, she claimed he would decide what clothes she wore, control her finances, and threatened to hurt her dogs if she didn’t comply.

She has since separated from her husband and is seeking legal counsel.

The events were all streamed live, with Amouranth revealing messages and calls from her husband of a threatening nature.

She is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and has thousands of viewers watching her at all times.

One of her viewers had heard of her plight and wanted to help her with the situation.

The iPhone came with a prepaid plan, so Amouranth could activate it and keep the number private.

The package also contained the number for a bodyguard service, also paid for by the fan.

Inside was a letter from the spectator, which read: “I have provided a few key defense supplies and cash to ensure no financial manipulation can hamper your resolution.

“Finally I added a new phone, all you have to do is activate the service, the plan is active and prepaid. Nobody but you will know the number.”

Viewers were concerned the package would arrive with strings attached, but Amouranth said she didn’t find anything “creepy” in the package.

She said the package didn’t contain the usual hallmarks of stalker messages like “run away with me” or “please marry me.”

Amouranth has received a number of anonymous love letters over the years.

She said this package was different, explaining: “[It’s] just a letter like ‘Here are your things, have a good life’”.

Amouranth has continued to stream since separating from her husband and wants to continue working.
