Angry passenger angrily scolds crying child in mid-air, yelling he’s in ‘tin can’ with baby

A man threw a tantrum and launched into a tirade of profanity while reportedly flying on one Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore, Maryland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 18, 2023. (WATCH the mid-air tirade in the video above.)

The angry man, who cannot be identified, was filmed by a fellow passenger after the angry man began arguing with the flight crew and disrupting much of the flight for everyone around him.

A Tiktok video Posted by fellow traveler Mark Grabowski, whose Twitter handle is @mjgrabowski, received over 180,000 views.

The angry man can be seen in the video yell at flight attendants and from other passengers about the baby’s supposed constant crying.

The plane had circled West Palm Beach Due to weather issues, when the man snapped and started screaming, Grabowski said, according to news outlet TMX.

The angry passenger used profanity as he grew increasingly upset over a crying child.

The cantankerous passenger claimed that the Baby had been crying 40 minutes and had woken him up from a nap.

“I had headphones on,” he said.

He also argued with the flight attendants that he “had paid for a ticket to have a damn comfortable flight,” which the crying baby then bothered him about.

“We’re in a goddamn tin can with a baby in a god—n echo chamber – and you want to talk to me about how you’re fucking fine?” the man can be seen and heard screaming, among other things.

At one point, one of the flight attendants remarked to the passenger that “is a man” while the upset toddler “is a baby.”

A woman, believed to be the upset man’s partner, can be seen throughout the video trying to calm him down, to no avail.

According to TMX, the flight was eventually diverted to Orlando International Airport.

When the plane landed, the angry man refused to leave his seat – forcing all of the plane’s passengers to disembark, Grabowski said, according to TMX.

Other passengers featured in the TikTok video appeared both horrified and amused by the man’s behavior.

“He was trying to make his case that he had the right to cry because there were two adults with the crying baby and he shouldn’t have been disturbed,” Grabowski said, as reported by TMX.

He added, “Well, that’s probably not how his wife imagined their Florida getaway.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Grabowski for comment.

It was unclear if the man was arrested on the plane or if he would be charged over his mid-air tantrum and refusal to exit the plane.

Fox News Digital has also reached out to Southwest Airlines.

“We commend our crew for their outstanding professionalism in handling a challenging situation and we apologize to the other customers on board who experienced such unacceptable behavior,” Southwest Airlines said in a media statement provided to Fox News Digital.
