Awkwafina, Sandra Oh, Will Ferrell, Jason Schwartzman and more lead a new sibling comedy

Awkwafina and Sandra Oh play two sisters on a cross-country road trip to save their mother in the 20th Century Studios Quiz Lady trailer.

20th century studios is ready to take a look at his hilarious side Quiz Lady Trailer with Awkwafina (The good bye, migration, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Sandra Oh (Kill Eve, Under the Tuscan sun, Grey’s Anatomy), when two sisters determined to raise enough money to pay off their missing mother’s debts and get their dog back. Quiz Lady will premiere on November 3, 2023exclusively on Disney+ in Canada. The original film will premiere on Saturday, September 9th at the 48th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.

In Quiz boyBrilliant but tense, game show-obsessed young woman Anne (Awkwafina) and her estranged sister Jenny (Sandra Oh) must work together to pay off their mother’s gambling debts. When Anne’s beloved dog is kidnapped, they embark on a wild trek across the country to get the money the only way they can: by turning Anne into a real game show champion. The film, which also stars Jason Schwartzman, Holland Taylor, Tony Hale and Will Ferrell, is directed by Jessica Yu, written by Jen D’Angelo and produced by Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Maggie Haskins, Itay Reiss and Jen D’Angelo. Angelo, Awkwafina and Sandra Oh, with Alex Brown and Erika Hampson serving as executive producers.

In the Quiz Lady In the trailer, Anne and Jenny discover that their mother has disappeared, leaving her with a crippling burden of debt. Determined to locate their mother, the sisters hatch a plan to pay off their mother’s gambling debts by signing Anne up as a contestant on a popular game show. As the duo drives across the open road to their destination, they come face to face with road rage, nervous sweats, napping dogs, and curious onlookers who think the girls have cocaine. With time running out, Anne and Jenny must increase their pace and win the pot if their mother wants to return home safe and sound.
