A FILMING driver captured the shocking moment when a panel van fell off a motorway overpass and landed on several vehicles parked from a previous crash.

We see the road marked by emergency responders dealing with the first accident that occurred on the highway in Santa Clarita, California.

After a few moments, a panel truck advertising Toyo Tires loses control of the upper lane before rolling past the overpass guardrail.

The large vehicle then lands on the bottom of the page, pinning down an SUV and semi truck.

The SUV and trailer hit by the overturning truck were unmanned at the time of the accident, but two bystanders were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The overturned Toyo Tires panel van reportedly spilled around 40 gallons of fuel, which was removed by cleaners ABC.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says weather appears to have played a role in both accidents in this video.

Tommy Dorado, the motorist who filmed the overturned truck in that accident, said: “At first I was shocked. I was incredulous.

“I honestly couldn’t believe I was witnessing something like this firsthand,” reports ABC.

Dorado added, “It was amazing to witness something so crazy since this type of accident is only seen in movies.” New York Post reports.

This amazing traffic accident has found its way to YouTube where it already was viewed 348,000 times since uploaded on Friday.

One YouTube user wrote: “I’m an owner operated trucker. One for 15 years. These companies that hire new local delivery drivers hire them with little to no experience.

“More needs to be said about that. CHP and FMCSA [Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration] need to start communicating with real truck drivers and owners about what needs to be done to improve safety and morale.

“One of these idiots is going to kill ME one day.”
