Canon PowerShot V10 – pocket camera for vlogging

Canon has announced the PowerShot V10, a new video-centric compact camera designed for smartphone users. The camera not only has a slim and ergonomic form factor, but also promises high-quality recordings. According to the company, the PowerShot V10 brings its imaging technologies into a pocketable design.

Small in package, big in content

Though small, it has a built-in retractable, reclining stand that folds out to provide tripod-like support anytime, anywhere. There’s also a built-in three-element, large-diameter microphone that cancels noise and produces clear, high-quality audio, perfect for creating videos with the ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) effect.

It fits in a small pocket and offers space together with your smartphone, earphones and power bank.

Thanks to Canon’s EOS imaging technology, the PowerShot V10 can produce good shots with low noise and vivid colors even in low light conditions.

With multiple shooting modes, including auto and manual exposure, and up to 14 color filters, the PowerShot V10 is equipped to allow users to achieve optimal results, regardless of their skill level or the extent to which they want to edit the footage. The tilting screen lets you experiment with different camera angles, making it easy to view and adjust high and low angle shots.

Autofocus is a breeze, and Face Tracking AF automatically detects your face and locks it in frame. You can also switch to fixed-frame AF to focus on where you tap.

The new Movie Auto ND filter automatically switches the built-in 3-stop ND filter ON/OFF depending on the surrounding brightness. Capable of capturing yourself with your friends and the background behind you, the lens’s wide angle of view is designed to make shooting hassle-free.

With 14 types of aspect ratio markers, you can ensure that important elements are always displayed perfectly, even if your video is to be edited for sharing on SNS platforms.

The PowerShot V10 supports real-time delivery methods such as live streaming, which can be done directly to Facebook or YouTube via the Camera Connect app without the hassle of complicated settings. This can also be done on the go: simply tap directly on the mobile network of your smartphone.
