Chad A. Mason sexually abused dog in front of child: Cops

A 36-year-old Florida man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting in front of several horrified families before damaging a Christmas crib and attempting to steal a car.

Chad Albert Mason was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with multiple crimes, including one charge of sexual activity with an animal and two counts, each of exposure of genitals and indecent or lustful display, court documents reviewed by the Law & Crime Show.

according to a press release Clearwater Police Department officers responded to multiple 911 calls about “sexual activity with animals” around 4:03 p.m. Sunday after Mason was “seen having sex with a dog on the 2600 block of McMullen Booth Road.”

in one affidavit of probable cause Police obtained by Law&Crime wrote that Mason was “walking a known person’s dog in an apartment complex” when he then “began inserting his penis into the dog’s anus (a Goldendoodle) and performing a sex act.”

In addition to scores of adults who are said to have seen Mason perform the grotesque act, police said a child was also among the onlookers.

“[Mason] was witnessed by several people, including a youth,” the affidavit reads.

The obscene display was only stopped after one of the witnesses stepped in to stop Mason, who fled the apartment complex, police said.

“[Mason] was confronted by an adult, removed his penis from the dog and fled the scene,” the affidavit said. “During the investigation [Mason] started wreaking havoc in the surrounding areas. [Mason] destroyed a nativity scene in a church, went into a neighborhood and ripped a mailbox off the lot of a residential building and got into an unoccupied vehicle to steal it.”

The charges of lewd and lewd behavior stem from allegations that Mason “deliberately masturbated [and] intentionally exposing his genitals” when he “have intercourse with a dog in the presence of [redacted]a child under the age of 16,” the affidavit reads.

Police said the crib was set up outside Northwood Presbyterian Church, where Mason also allegedly smashed several of the church’s potted plants, causing an estimated $400 in damage. In addition to the above charges, Mason also faces charges of criminal mischief at a house of worship. prison records reviewed by the Law & Crime Show.

Officers quickly found Mason and took him into custody shortly after he left the church grounds.

Mason was transported and sent to a Pinellas County jail. He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court again next week.
