The original film is about the mischief that takes place at the American Museum of Natural History each night as the sun goes down. Nick Daley’s summer job as a night watchman at the museum is a challenging task for a high school student, but he follows in his father’s footsteps and is determined not to let him down. Luckily, he knows the museum’s antique plaque, which brings everything to life when the sun goes down, and is happy to see his old friends, including Jedediah, Octavius, and Sacagawea, upon his arrival. But when the insane ruler Kahmunrah escapes with plans to explore the Egyptian underworld and free his army of dead, it’s up to Nick to stop the insane overlord and save the museum once and for all.

In addition to the debut of Night at the museum: Kahmunrah gets up again Trailer, Disney also shared key art for the upcoming animated film. The poster shows Nick standing next to the massive, sun-drenched bones of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The art evokes the same vibes as the original film trilogy, although it also marks the beginning of a new era at the museum. I’m a huge fan of the original films and I look forward to seeing the series come to life in the animation medium.
