Chris Evans raps while dressed as a life-size drug donor in ‘Pain Hustlers’ teaser

Captain America who? Chris Evans dons a very different suit in the upcoming film – that of an oral painkiller dispenser pain addicts
In the new teaser trailer (below) for the Netflix drama, we get a quick look at Evans’ Pete Brenner, a sales executive for Zanna Pharmaceuticals, performing a dance-and-rap hype number in front of a crowd of employees Emily BluntThis is Liza Drake.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the greed of Zanna’s hungry sales team and executives as doctors began prescribing the company’s painkiller to more and more cancer patients. Blinded by the money, their moral concepts also took a back seat.
Speaking to EW for a look at the film ahead of its debut this week at the Toronto International Film Festival: says director David Yates Evans “found layers and planes in [the character’s journey] “That was pretty fun” – including this dance-and-rap scene directly inspired by real-life pharma sales conventions. In this case, Evans learned the song just before filming it.
“We had a few repeats of the song and he should have had three or two weeks to prepare for it. And every day I said, ‘Chris, the song isn’t done yet.’ And he said, ‘No problem. It’s totally fine,’” Yates explains to EW. “He literally learned the lines offstage before he acted in this film because we asked him about it so late, but he grew up with it and wasn’t impressed at all. Someone else — another actor, another movie.” Star — could have just said, “Look, let’s shoot her next week,” or, “I’m not doing that, I need some time to prepare.” He really was pragmatic, cooperative and helpful and just went on stage and did it.”
