Crash during chase causes delays; Suspect arrested
SAN DIEGO – A police pursuit crash Monday afternoon is causing significant traffic delays on Interstate 805 in the Sorrento Valley area, authorities said.
The pursuit, which began in Orange County, ended in a collision on southbound I-805 near Sorrento Valley Road and Vista Sorrento Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
SkyFOX was over the scene of the accident around 4 p.m., where traffic was backed up for several miles.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect has since been arrested. Her injuries are currently unknown.
No further information was released.
Only two lanes are currently open.
