Damian Lewis returns to Billions for Season 7: ‘Bobby’s Back!’

Damien Lewis is making an official comeback.
The actor is set to reprise his role as Bobby Axelrod in the Showtime series. billion for season 7. In conversation with Stephen Colbert At The Late Show, The 52-year-old actor confirmed his revival of the character.
“Bobby’s back, Ax’s back,” Lewis said, “and it’s exciting. He’s been gone for a few seasons.”

Lewis left the series in 2021 after Season 5. Earlier that year he had lost his wife Helen McCroryto cancer.
“Thanks @SHO_Billions, thanks @briankupplungman @DavidLevien,” Lewis tweeted after his final episode of season five.
“It’s a pleasure and a privilege to play Ax for 5 seasons with some of the smartest, funniest and most talented cast and crew I’ve ever worked with. I will miss that billion Family. Yes, some jobs are more than just a job…. Love.”

The last time Bobby Axelrod was on the show, he was settling into a quieter life in Europe. Bobby’s fortune was gone when he retired from the world of finance and crime that occupied him throughout his American life.
A Showtime release says Season 7 will take financial and personal drama to a whole new level: “Alliances will be turned on their heads. Old wounds are armed. Loyalties are put to the test. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become cautious friends. And Bobby Axelrod back as the stakes rise from Wall Street to the world.”
