Denise Russo, “The X-Life” star, has died at the age of 44

Denise Russo, best known for starring in VH1’s reality TV show ‘The X-Life’, has died aged 44.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Russo’s death in a news release Friday, saying she was found “unresponsive on the floor” at a friend’s home on Sunday.
Emergency responders responded to an 911 call at a home in San Diego on March 5.

“Despite aggressive attempts at resuscitation, she was pronounced dead. Drug paraphernalia were found at the scene,” the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said in the press release.
The cause of death is still unknown while the investigation is pending.
Russo has an 8-year-old son named Leo Wolf, whom she shares with skateboard star Pierre Luc Gagnon.
Before her death, Russo was a cover girl contestant for Inked Magazine. On her profile, she expressed how much she loves her son and their moments together.

“I love being a mom! I have an 8 year old beautiful son named Leo Wolf, boys rule btw and he is the light of my life! We wrestle, I do my Russian wrestler accent and smack little mouse on the bed! Leo made life better and being his mom is a gift!”
Inked Magazine’s website also listed a $25,000 grand prize for Next Cover Girl. Russo wrote down what she would have used the money she had won for.
“I would use the money to build a foundation to get back in touch with my son. I’ve been through a grueling custody battle and I’m still recovering. The money would help bring stability in life to unite us again.”
Russo continued to date Gagnon VH1’s “The X-Life” a reality television series portraying several big names in the extreme sports business and their significant others.
The reality star starred on the show alongside three other couples, including BMX jumper Cory Nastazio and freestyle motocrosser Jeremy Stenburg with their then-partners.

Russo often showed off her body tattoos on her social media page along with her son Leo Wolf.

Last month she shared a video of Leo Wolf snowboarding and noted how proud she was of her son.
“This is my 8-year-old son Leo Wolf, who is only snowboarding for the third time in his life. I’m so proud of him and so proud to be his mom. I miss him so much every moment of the day and I can’t wait until we get back together. I love you my sweet boy with all my heart!”
