Diablo 4 release date, new trailer and music revealed at the Game Awards

FANS have been eagerly awaiting more information about Diablo 4, but Blizzard has been pretty tight-lipped about the details.

A preview build of the game was recently sent to the printers, but we were only able to play three of the five classes and were locked to the launch area.

Without looking at the broader game, it was difficult for us to assess how far the game was from release.

While the preview build looked polished, we were aware that most of the game was still locked.

However, fans won’t have to wait too long to finally get their hands on the long-awaited Diablo sequel.

The official release date of Diablo 4 is June 6, 2023to match the devilish theme of the game.

The new trailer featured footage from the game, proving it’s up to date with modern hardware.

Music from the game was also played live on stage, as performed by Halsey.

From what we’ve played through the game, Diablo 4 has brought updated combat in line with modern consoles while still retaining that nostalgic feel of Diablo’s finest era.

Of all the Diablo games released to date, Diablo 4 feels the closest to Diablo 2, which is often considered the best game in the series.

Diablo 4 was first announced in 2019 and has been in development for a number of years at this point.

However, development was delayed after the developer decided to put their efforts into remastering Diablo 2.

The game, named Diablo 2: Resurrected, was released in 2021 and was well received by both critics and fans.

This helped build the hype surrounding the upcoming fourth game in the series, which is now highly anticipated.

Whether Diablo 4 will live up to the hype Blizzard has created remains to be seen.

We’ll have to see how the game fares when it releases next summer.
