Did you notice Harper’s subtle nod to the Eagles during the finale against the Marlins? – NBC Sports Philadelphia

It’s easy. It’s subtle. And it’s further proof of how much Bryce Harper loves Philadelphia.

The Phillies hosted the Marlins on Sunday afternoon…what a perfect appetizer to the Eagles’ season opener against the Patriots.

The bottom of the first inning showcased the top of the order in a variety of ways – a single by Kyle Schwarber, *another* Trea Turner’s home run and Harper finds his rhythm again.

Oh…and Harper also had a new pair of batting gloves and soccer cleats on display.

Typically, Citizens Bank Park #3 is seen in neon green as a nod to the Phillie Phanatic, but today he’s opted for a different shade…midnight, to be exact.

This is no coincidence. Go Phillies. Go birds.
