Disney is the #1 cruise line for families, according to travelers – NBC 6 South Florida

It seems that everything is progressing smoothly Cruise industryaccording to current reporting. A study by the Cruise Lines International Association shows that cruises are becoming one of the fastest growing tourism sectors.
And an October survey from Conde Nast Traveler found that 47% of people would be interested in setting sail on a ship.
In October, US News and World Report has published its 2023 ranking the best cruises for families. The report ranked the top five ships from the 17 most popular ocean cruise lines with a rating of one to five.
US News and World Report rated the cruise ships based on the following categories:
- The overall rating of each line
- The overall rating of travelers according to “families with children”
- The percentage of reviews on Cruiseline.com left by family travelers
For a cruise line to qualify for this ranking, at least 20% of all traveler reviews had to come from families.
#1 Cruise for Families: Disney Cruise Line
Disney cruise line is the best cruise line for families with a rating of 4.46.
The cruise line has five ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish. A sixth ship, Disney treasureis scheduled to set sail in December 2024.
According to the report, Disney is praised by families for its fancy amenities and well-appointed cabins. Disney ships vary in size, but each ship promises to have about one crew member for every three passengers, according to the report.

According to travelers, Disney Cruise Line is the best cruise for families.
Disney Cruise Line allows customers to travel to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Caribbean, Australia and the Pacific. Trips can last between two and 15 nights.
On board, Disney Cruise Line offers youth clubs, cinemas and themed pools. Guests can also dine in Disney-style dining in the main dining rooms, participate in character meet-and-greets and experience Disney-inspired entertainment.
According to the report, Disney Cruise Line is typically more expensive than other family-friendly cruise lines. If you’re planning a trip, you should expect to pay at least $1,000 for a cruise for two passengers, and the price goes up from there, according to sources NerdWallet.

The second best family friendly cruise line is Royal Caribbean International with a rating of 4.17.

Royal Caribbean International is the #2 cruise for families.
As of 2022, the cruise line operates 26 ships and two private resorts: Labadee on the north coast of Haiti and Coco Cay, a private island in the Bahamas.
In 2019 Royal Caribbean International announced plans to open one Private island in the South Pacific.
Itineraries last between two and 28 nights. Royal Caribbean International also offers The Ultimate world cruisewhich lasts 274 nights and goes to over 60 countries.

According to US News and World Report, Carnival Cruises is one of the top three family cruise lines.
The #3 best cruise for families is Carnival Cruise Linewith a rating of 3.90.
Carnival has 25 ships that depart from all over the world, including New York, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Miami and more. The cruise line offers voyages to Mexico, Hawaii, Europe and the Caribbean, just to name a few.
Like Disney, each Carnival ship carries about one crew member for every three passengers.
