Emergency workers save toddler who was accidentally locked in car on a hot day

Emergency responders rescued a toddler who was accidentally trapped in a car on a sweltering day in Flower Mound, Texas, on Thursday, Sept. 7, according to fire officials said.

Footage posted on Facebook by the Flower Mound Fire Department shows a first responder trying to unlock the car with a grabber tool before his colleague breaks the window to save the child.

The car had been driving until just before the crew responded to the call. “With a heat index of approximately 107, time was of the essence and fortunately this story had a great outcome,” the fire department said said.
