Everything we know so far about American Horror Story Season 12

The start of fall means a lot each year: everything pumpkin-flavored, spooky marathons, and of course, a new season American Horror Story.
Fall 2023 won’t be any different in that regard – the latest installment in the long-running horror anthology is fast approaching. As usual, FX has chosen to show us the new episodes in a series of short, cryptic, and spooky teasers rather than telling them openly.
Ahead of Season 12 being dubbed AHS: DelicateEW explains below what we think it all means, as well as everything else you need to know – from the cast to when and where you can watch it.
Who is in the cast?
AHS alum Emma Robertsthe previously in circle, freak show, cult, ApocalypseAnd 1984She is headlining this season as Anna. She is joined by series newcomers Cara Delevingne And Kim Kardashian.
However, not much is known about their characters Each of them has their own poster. Kardashian’s promo shows her with long, white-blonde hair and incredibly long eyelashes, with a giant spider on her stomach. series creator Ryan Murphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that Halley Feiffer, the season’s sole writer and showrunner, “wrote a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role specifically for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we’ve ever done.”
Delevingne’s picture, on the other hand, shows her with similarly severe white curls, spidery glasses and a devilish grin, while holding a surgical needle with a wicked spider in her hand.

pose Golden Globe winner Michaela Jae Rodriguez And AHS veteran Zachary Quinto will also appear in AHS: Delicate.
What is this season about?
Via FX: “In American Horror Story: TenderAfter several failed IVF attempts, actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts) wants nothing more than to start a family. As excitement builds for her latest film, she worries something could target her – and her quest for motherhood.” It’s the first season of the horror anthology to be based on a book, in this case ” delicate condition by author Danielle Valentine, which was published in August 2023.
What do we know about the show from the book?
The book is about Anna, a New York-based actress who breaks into a hit indie film while dealing with her newfound fame while enduring countless IVF treatments. Although she finds solace in her friend Siobhan, a more famous actress than she is, no one really believes Anna’s claims that there are malevolent forces at play stalking her and trying to prevent her pregnancy. When she finally becomes pregnant, her doctor later tells her that she had a miscarriage. And yet she still feels the fetus growing inside her and sees the physical effects pregnancy has on her body. The ramifications of the pregnancy only become more apparent and severe as someone begins tracking her through the Hamptons.
“It’s essentially a horror novel about pregnancy” Valentine previously told EW her book. “It’s a novel that explores not only the actual physical cruelty of pregnancy, but also the medical gaslighting that even modern, very privileged women experience during their pregnancy, and the symptoms that I believe we still experience as a culture. “I don’t talk about it for odd reasons.” While early praise for delicate condition compared it to a modern, feminist one Rosemary’s babyValentine clarified, “I was actually a lot more inspired by.” extraterrestrialwhich I think will also give readers an idea of where I’m taking this.”
While it’s too early to tell how the show will hold up to the book, the official logline for the season so far is strikingly similar to this one delicate condition.
What might the teasers tell us about the new season?
Spider phobics look away! The two short teasers revealed so far (above) show very similar images, consistent with what we know about the new episodes. They’re both set for a slowed-down, eerie take on “Rock-a-bye Baby,” offering terrifying twists on maternity and baby pictures, as well as — gulp – Spiders galore.
Just because spiders and their webs and creepy crawlies are all over the teasers doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be starring in the new season. In recent years, the imagery in has been used AHS Teasers have often taken on a more metaphorical role, so they are far more likely intended to represent traps or webs of lies and deceit than actual spider monsters. (Although this being AHS, you never know.) Case in point: Kardashian is seen in the middle of a web, holding what appears to be a baby. Maybe she’s the one trying to take Roberts’ kid away?

The motives of pregnancy and pregnancy loss are somewhat more obvious. IVF definitely plays a role here as we see Roberts getting a supportive kiss from her partner on the operating table and visions of embryos and needles are everywhere. Delevingne is holding a needle like in the poster, so it’s possible she’s a fertility doctor. There’s also a creepy rocking cradle, a bird’s egg that falls from a treetop and breaks, and long fingers reaching for a pregnant belly. They presumably represent the ever-present, faceless threat that Roberts’ character envisions for himself, and there are also numerous shots of white-haired, suggestive women moving menacingly in circles.
The latest teaser below takes this a step further, focusing on Roberts being chased down a hallway while people crawl along the walls behind her.
When and where can I watch AHS: Delicate?
AHS: Delicate will be released on FX on September 20th and stream on Hulu the next day. It will be divided into two parts, with part one consisting of five episodes. A premiere date for part two has not yet been announced.
