Former NJ teacher’s aide Ryan Johnson received child porn on Snapchat, officials say – NBC10 Philadelphia

A former New Jersey teacher’s aide is accused of sharing sexually explicit photos with two high school students and receiving child porn on the social media app Snapchat.

Ryan Johnson, 47, of Hopewell Township, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of child pornography and lewdness.

Johnson is alleged to have shared sexually explicit photos with two underage victims on Snapchat in July and August of this year. He also received and viewed a picture via Snapchat that showed child pornography, investigators said.

Johnson was a teacher’s assistant at Cumberland Regional High School during the 2022-2023 school year. Although both victims were concurrent students at the school when Johnson worked there, he was no longer employed by the Cumberland Regional School District at the time of the alleged crimes, according to investigators.

Officials said Johnson also worked briefly at Bridgeton High School in the fall of 2023 and worked at Hopewell Crest Elementary School between September 2019 and June 2022.

Johnson is currently in the Cumberland County Jail awaiting a hearing. It is currently unknown whether he has legal representation.
