SOME Americans are eligible for direct payments ranging from $200 to $1,050.
The inflation relief is issued in the form of direct payments for residents, and all entitled persons shall receive them by January 14th.

If you require a tax identification number and were unable to do so by October, you must submit it by February to be eligible.
You must also be a California resident and have been for at least six months in 2020.
Those claimed as dependent in 2020 are not eligible. To qualify, you must meet certain income requirements.
Married/registered partners with joint assessment:
- CA AGI: $150,000 or less – $1,050 with dependents, $700 without dependents
- CA AGI: $150,001 to $250,000 – $750 with dependents, $500 without dependents
- CA AGI: $250,001 to $500,000 – $600 with dependents, $400 without dependents
Head of household or qualified widower:
- CA AGI: $150,000 or less – $700 with dependents, $350 without dependents
- CA AGI: $150,001 to $250,000 – $500 with dependents, $250 without dependents
- CA AGI: $250,001 to $500,000 – $400 with dependents, $200 without dependents


Single or married/civil partners submitting separately:
- CA AGI: $75,000 or less – $700 with dependents, $350 without dependents
- CA AGI: $75,001 to $125,000 – $500 with dependents, $250 without dependents
- CA AGI: $125,001 to $250,000 – $400 with dependents, $200 without dependents
