Gabby Barrett gets dramatic in voluminous black dress at the ACM Awards – WWD

Gabby Barrett was a vision at ACM 2023 awards took a bold approach to red carpet dressing on Thursday in Frisco, Texas.

The singer arrived in black velvet dress with a form-fitting silhouette and attached huge billowing cape-like structure. The cloak also functioned as dramatic sleeves, forming a pool-like train around the rug.

Barrett attended the event alongside her husband, Cade Foehner, who coordinated in a black tuxedo. The couple welcomed their son Augustine in 2022.

Ahead of her arrival at the ACM Awards, Barrett took to Instagram to preview her new single “Glory Days,” which is due out next month.

The singer has sported striking looks in recent weeks. She performed in 2023 stagecoach music Festival in April, wears a striking red corset with a long train and black jumpsuit underneath. The performance was Barrett’s stage coach debut.

At the 2022 Country Music Awards in November, the singer wore red again, appearing in a tailored Mélique Street jumpsuit with structured, pointed shoulder detailing.

The Academy of Country Music Awards, which honor the finest artists in country music, have been held since 1966. The 58th Annual ACM Awards were held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The event was hosted by country music legends Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks and featured live performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood.
