Gmail “down” – Hundreds report not receiving emails due to ‘glitch’

GMAIL is unavailable to hundreds of thousands of users around the world.
Google’s email service crashed around 2 p.m. today, according to Down Detector.
Users have taken to social media to express their frustration at the inconvenience.
One wrote: “Gmail is down, you’re not going crazy.”
Another said: “Gmail is down. They can see your account but no emails are being received.”
A third added: “Looks like Gmail is down worldwide. I’m not getting any emails either. I read a lot of reports on Twitter.”
It’s unclear what caused the outage and when it will be fixed.
According to the Downdetector website, 77 percent of users have trouble receiving email.
How to check if Gmail is not working?
There are websites that report when certain apps and websites are having problems.
Downdetector is a website that users can check to see if there are indeed any outages for the problems they are experiencing.
Gmail users can also try to troubleshoot their account by signing out and trying to sign in again.
It can also be useful to check Google and Gmail Twitter accounts to see if they are reporting outages themselves.
