Has the PlayStation Network gone down?

According to the website, the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct are experiencing issues.

When did the PlayStation Network go down?

Around 2 a.m. EST, reports of outages began to surface on Twitter and other social media.

Sony’s website says the problems started around the same time users started reporting them.

The problems with PlayStation Direct appear to have started earlier than the problems with streaming and the PlayStation Store.

PlayStation has had problems with network outages in the past, with one major outage leaving users around the world without access for hours over the past year.

Thousands of users have reported problems with Downdetector, with reports pouring in from both the UK and US.

The PS4, PS5 and web games were all affected at the time.

This current outage does not appear to be at the same level as before and will be addressed.

What did users say?

Users have expressed their frustration on various social media.

One account said: “Is it just me or is the PlayStation Network having major problems? Can’t play online at the moment.”

A user from Japan tweeted something similar: “Anyone playing PlayStation right now?

“I can’t connect to PlayStation Network, is it me?

The official Twitter account for Fourteen days posted about the ongoing issues on the PlayStation Network and confirmed that users were having difficulties.

Many users have started posting memes and joking about how badly they want to sign up and play.

One frustrated gamer said, “IF I JUST WANT TO PLAY AFTER A LONG DAY OF HOMEWORK AND WORK AND PLAYSTATION NETWORK DECIDES TO BE DOWN GRAAAHHH!”
