Hellraiser’s Doug Bradley joins Gotham Knights as Joe Chill

Doug Bradley, best known as Pinhead in the Hellraiser franchise, joins The CW’s Gotham Knights as Joe Chill.

Doug Bradley is perhaps best known for playing Pinhead on the series Hellraiser franchise, but now he will take over the villain who launched one of DC’s greatest heroes – Joe Chill. Doug Bradley will play the character in episode six of Gotham Knights on The CW. Joe Chill has spent fifty years rotting on death row, but with his execution finally scheduled, the infamous “patron saint of villains” won’t let his secrets die with him.

“When we cast the iconic role of Joe Chill, arguably the man who created Batman, there was only one name we considered… Doug Bradley,‘ read a statement from Gotham Knights producers Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux. “We needed an actor with the kind of gravitas that would do justice to such a seminal character in the DC Comics canon. And who better to embody the role of the classic Gotham fiend than the man whose legendary portrayal of another classic fiend – Pinhead in the Hellraiser Franchise – continues to spook generations of horror fans?”

The Gotham Knights The series takes place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, when his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this rogue band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham without the Dark Knight to protect it, the city is sinking into the most dangerous it has ever been. Hope comes from the most unexpected of places, however, as this team of unlikely escapees will become his next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights Stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent. Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, all alums of The CW’s Batwoman series, I wrote it Gotham Knights Series, with Fiveash and Stoteraux also serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden, while Abrams serves as co-executive producer.

Gotham Knights Premiered on The CW the 14th of March.
