Holzweiler RTW Spring 2024 – WWD

Camley Street Natural Park, the two-hectare nature reserve in central London, was a fitting location for Holzweiler’s debut on the London Fashion Week program.

The Norwegian brand has made Copenhagen Fashion Week its permanent fixture, but with the brand growing and celebrating its 10th anniversary next year, it was time to experiment with another fashion week. However, her focus remained the same: to always turn to Mother Earth.

“When we first visited this special place and heard the songs of the birds and the buzzing of the bees, we immediately felt at home,” said Maria Skappel-Holzweiler, creative director of the brand, about the nature reserve.

The first look, a delicate nightgown paired with jeans and a floral bustier, set the tone for the looks that followed, where motifs of nature lined the denim hems; Embroidered on camp collar shirts and sewn onto dresses to give them a casual feel.

The entire collection was commercially viable as it covered the needs of a wardrobe, from basics and activewear to special occasion pieces.
