These driverless systems are a milestone on the way to Honda’s goal of zero road fatalities with its motorcycles and cars worldwide by 2050 and to achieve carbon neutrality.

Honda Sensing 360 currently uses cameras and five advanced millimeter-wave radar units around the car to process its surroundings, according to JD Power.

This technology allows Honda Sensing to perform tasks such as automatically stopping when a pedestrian crosses your path.

Today, if you want certain Honda Sensing 360 features in your vehicle, you may need to resort to more expensive equipment.

But by 2030, Honda Sensing 360 features will be standard across the board, rather than available on some models.

Honda said: “Starting in 2024, the next-generation Honda Sensing 360 in China will feature new technologies to further reduce driver stress by reducing the likelihood of collisions by accurately detecting abnormal conditions for the driver and the vehicle’s surroundings .”

Honda Sensing Elite will be a flagship variant of Honda Sensing 360, according to the manufacturer’s press release on Wednesday.

Honda Sensing Elite capabilities include:

  • A hands-off function for navigating traffic jams on high-capacity urban roads and off-highway
  • Easy to get on and off expressways
  • Automatic parking in the garage

Honda Sensing Elite is powered by the manufacturer’s original AI (Artificial Intelligence) designed to grow as you gain experience.

No launch schedule has been announced for the Honda Sensing Elite.
