How to get the nuclear bomb in Warzone 2.0

Rumors of a hidden nuclear weapon in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 have been circulating since the launch of the free-to-play game a week ago, and players have finally solved the mystery.

Al-Mazrah, the new map introduced with Warzone 2.0, brings a ton of new features and a ton of secrets for players to discover.

Almost immediately after the game’s release on November 16, 2022, players began searching for an allegedly hidden tactical nuclear bomb in the game.

The madness started when famous Twitch streamer TimTheTatman shared a clip of him chasing another player across a narrow bridge in Warzone 2.0.

The other player jumped into the water and the clip was cut to video of a bomb exploding underwater.

To further fuel interest, Warzone 2.0 developer Raven Software retweeted the video with the comment “So the rumors are true…?”

Fast forward a week and we now know that the tactical superweapon actually exists in the game; we also know how to win games with it.

How to get the nuclear bomb in Warzone 2.0

Dropping a nuclear bomb in Warzone 2.0 is no walk in the park as there are quite a few steps to complete and requirements to meet.

Here’s everything you need to do on how to drop a nuke in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0.

First, you must win five battle royale games in a row; this already eliminates most of the players, but that’s exactly why the nuke is so hard to get.

Next, you must accept the Champion’s Quest that will appear on your map during your sixth game, assuming you’ve won the previous five.

Once you’ve initiated the Champion’s Contract, you need to get the three chemical elements needed to build the bomb.

These are Beryllium, Plutonium and Tritium and will be highlighted on the map for you.

The materials are extremely dangerous, each inflicting a unique penalty. So carrying more than one of these at a time will cause you a lot of trouble.

The best way to approach this move is to coordinate with your teammates so that each of you grabs an item to minimize the downsides they bring.

After collecting the chemical elements, you have to wait for the bomb site to be revealed – it’s in the middle of the last circle, so you’ll have to at least survive until the circles converge.

When it appears, the Nuke assembly site will be marked with a yellow nuclear hazard sign on your map.

Go to the Nuke location, put each of the three chemical elements in the reactor, and then arm the bomb.

It’s not over yet as this will start a two minute countdown in which you will have to defend the nuke until it detonates.

Once the bomb explodes, victory over the supremacy of the special champion is yours. Difficult to pull off, but definitely worth the effort.
