How to refund a game on Xbox

SOMETIMES a game doesn’t quite live up to your expectations, has bugs, or just isn’t your type of game, but luckily some digital game stores offer easy refunds.

Xbox is a store that has a very generous and no-hassle refund policy. So if you’re not happy with a digital game you bought on Xbox, you can get your money back.

To refund a game on Xbox you need access to a web browser available on the console or on your phone or computer.

How to refund a game on Xbox

Microsoft offers a quick and easy way to get a refund for a digitally purchased video game, but to be eligible you must meet a few criteria.

The first is that you bought the game within the last 14 days and the second is that you haven’t played much of the game.

Here’s what you need to do to get a refund on Xbox:

1. Visit the Xbox Order History page in a web browser on your phone, PC, or console.
2. Select the item you would like to refund and then click on the “Request a Refund” option.
3. Provide a reason for your return, which may include a change of mind.
4. After providing a reason, select Next, then Submit.

Microsoft says it can take up to 72 hours to process a refund and will contact users with updates on the process as they happen.

Does the Xbox refund return money?

Refunds for Xbox digital purchases will always be returned using the method that was used to pay for them.

This means if you paid with a debit or credit card, the money will be refunded to your bank account or the balance on your credit card will be reversed.

If you paid for the purchase using PayPal balance, the money will also be returned to your PayPal balance, although it may take a few days to show up after the refund has been processed.

If the purchase was paid for using the wallet balance on your Xbox account, you will not be able to receive the money and it will be returned to your Xbox account balance.

Why can’t I refund a game on Xbox?

There are a number of reasons why you might not be able to refund a digitally purchased game on Xbox One or Xbox Series.

If you purchased the game more than 14 days ago or played it for a long time, your purchase is no longer eligible for a refund.

There is also a limit on how many refunds you can get in a year. So if you’ve received multiple refunds, you may not be able to refund any more games.

Some content such as Digital currencies such as Fortnite V-Bucks or other in-game purchases may also not be refunded.
