Hulu New Releases: March 2023

Hulu’s list of new releases for March 2023 includes an event long in the making.

On March 6th History of the World, Part II will finally be released more than 40 years after the Mel Brooks classic comedy World History, Part I. premiered for the first time. Of course, Brooks never intended to add future parts to his ahistorical film, but that does make the arrival of Part II even funnier so many years later. Described as a four-night comedy event, History of the World, Part II will be releasing two episodes a day through March 9th. Brooks returns to write and executive produce this series and will star alongside Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes and Ike Barinholtz. Guest stars include…everyone. Basically just everyone.

A few (more historically based) documentaries will also premiere on Hulu in March. National Geographic examines: Guantanamo arrives on March 2nd. This is followed by FX’s New York Times Presents: Sin Eaters on March 10 and The lesson is murder on March 23rd. Rounding out Hulu’s TV offering this month is the FX adaptation of Charlie’s Dickens. Great expectations on March 26th.

There aren’t many heavyweights on the movie side. The one produced by Ridley Scott Boston strangler on March 17 should be interesting. Fresh library titles include The departed, Groundhog DayAnd The shape of the water on March 1st and Oscar-nominated triangle of sadness on March 3rd.
