AN EV driver is furious because he can never find a free charger for his car – and the cost becomes ridiculously high.

TikTok user @iamdollar said there aren’t enough charging points — and some EV drivers don’t bother moving their car when it’s fully charged.

He believes that buying an electric vehicle is a waste of money and that it is impossible to charge his car every day.

He began the video by saying, “If you’re thinking of buying an electric car, don’t worry, don’t do it. Save your money.”

“The infrastructure isn’t here. The app tells you the machine is available and you come here and it’s not.

“There’s two dorks who were probably here overnight. See that flashing green light?

“That would indicate the cars are fully charged, so yeah, they’ve probably been here overnight and just left their cars there.

“Their cars are fully charged and no one else can use them because they are currently using them as parking spaces.

“But then a ‘dumb’ app tells you, oh, the car is available.

He also believes that charging an electric car has become too expensive.

He continued: “It used to cost around three to four pounds to top up. Guess how much it costs now?

“It costs £40 to £50 to charge your car. So yes, don’t worry, don’t worry.

“The infrastructure just isn’t there, don’t bother getting an electric vehicle.”
