After quitting his job at a drug and alcohol rehab facility, Chris realized he had so much extra time to focus on his passions: making quality videos and writing his book.
In an essay to Business InsiderHe revealed that he didn’t realize his time was precious until he got sober.
“If work didn’t pay me what I was worth, I needed time to find that money elsewhere,” he wrote.
Chris put all his extra time into building his YouTube platform by creating content on a daily basis.
When he started making thousands of dollars every month and $7,000 in just one month, he realized he could quit his full-time job and pursue his passion.
After teaching himself audio and video editing, Chris realized he needed to establish himself as a brand.
Because he had so many new followers on YouTube and through his book sales, he decided to do it Start a podcast under the same name The Rewired Soul.
Chris doesn’t even have to sell anything because YouTube pays the creators with its advertising revenue.
He also brought in an additional $500 to $1,000 a month by learning affiliate marketing.
How to make money on YouTube
There are basically five ways to make money from YouTube:

The most well-known way to make money on the platform is through advertising revenue.
This is where advertisers pay you to display, overlay, and run video ads.
To make extra money with this option, you must be at least 18 years old or have a legal guardian over the age of 18 who can process your payments through AdSense.
You must also create content that complies with the YouTube guidelines for advertiser-friendly content.
Another popular way YouTubers make money is through channel memberships.
Here, members make recurring monthly payments in exchange for special perks offered by the YouTuber.
To do this, you must have over 1,000 subscribers.
