I’m a Collector – Top 10 most valuable items you have lying around at home, from coins to cards worth millions

SEEMINGLY ordinary items lying around your house could actually be incredibly valuable.
Eric Whitebackwho bills himself as a “collectibles guru” recently ranked his 1.7 million followers for what he believes are the most valuable collectibles people take for granted.
While some of the items listed, like rare coins and baseball cards, seem obvious, others might surprise you.
Here is the top 10 countdown.
10. Apple Products
Don’t forget your old Mac or iPhone, Eric said.
“Used iPhones and iPods fetch in the hundreds of dollars on a regular basis,” he said.

And according to Eric, the price of old Apple products that are still sealed in the box can go well into the five figures.
“You could potentially see over $20,000, he said.”
9. Hot Wheels
Old Hot Wheels cars are favorites among collectors, according to Eric.
“Look for cars with a red line through the tires or ones that look particularly old,” he said.
8. Coins
US Sun readers shouldn’t be surprised that Eric included Coins in his list.
“Coins can be worth anything from face value to literally millions of dollars,” he said.
Our US Sun stories back up that claim.
7. Cards
Old baseball cards are classic collectibles, but there are others to look for as well.
“If you collected Pokemon cards or Sports cards when you were young, you could be sitting on a gold mine,” Eric said.
6. Books
That dusty old book on your shelf could be worth a lot of money, especially if it’s a first edition.
“First editions of legendary copies can be worth a few hundred grand,” said Eric.
And many are not even that old.
“Even modern books like Harry Potter can be worth thousands.”
You should look for a first edition label near the front of your book.
5. Vintage toys
Your children’s toys could be worth a small fortune.
“Tomagotchies, Furbies, Poly Pockets and other toys can be worth hundreds,” Eric said.
And rare toys that are still in their packaging can fetch thousands, according to Eric.
4. Porcelain/dishes
Your old crockery could actually be part of a rare collection and be worth a fortune.
“Turn your china upside down to find the artist and maker and do a Google search from there,” suggested Eric.
3. Lego sets
Vintage Lego sets are very popular with collectors, especially those related to a popular pop culture franchise, Eric said.
“Look for old Star Wars sets and keep an eye out for the Boba Fett minifigure,” he said.
2. Vinyl records
“Old records can fetch a pretty penny,” said Eric.
He specifically recommended looking out for old Elvis and Beatles records.
1. Video Games
“Your old video games are definitely worth something,” Eric claimed.
Old NES games with seals still in place are a particularly big find, according to Eric.
Some old video games could fetch upwards of $2,000,000.
If you think your game is right for you, he recommended checking out Heritage Auctions again.
As you go through your old stuff, check if you have that cent worth over $100,000.
And see if your spare quarter is worth over 40,000
