I’m a mechanic – I’ve got XL nails and removed the axle on my sports car – I love breaking with stereotypes

A FEMALE mechanic showed that extra long nails and tough work are not mutually exclusive.
The TikTok user showed off her ability to remove the axle on her Nissan 350Z in a video, with people calling the technique inspiring and impressive.
The Videoposted by Peyton Cicconi (@MiniTruck_babe), begins with a shot of the axle of her sports car scraping on the ground.
Overlaid text in this intro reads: “Axle has left the chat. My axle broke the Z again so we’re going to fix it today.”
Cicconi gathers the necessary supplies to complete her quest.
These materials include a 19mm socket, an impact wrench, a 36mm socket, a 14mm ratchet, a 14mm wrench, needle nose pliers and a tire lever.

This professional mechanic advised her viewers to always lock the front tire of a car to keep the vehicle from rolling while they work.
After locking the front tire of her Nissan, Cicconi places her tire lever under the sports car’s differential.
A differential is a vehicle system that allows drive wheels to rotate at different speeds.
Cicconi added that you want to make sure your jack is evenly aligned under the differential to avoid slipping.
We see Cicconi lift her car off the ground and grab her 19mm socket to remove her left rear tire.
With the tire removed, this car expert reuses her 19mm socket to lift spacers.
Spacers are inexpensive aftermarket parts that move a car’s wheels farther from the body.
Wheel spacers provide better handling and unique stance while allowing the use of larger tires and calipers.
Next, Cicconi uses her needle nose pliers to remove her wheel’s cotter pin.
Cotter pins fit car parts tightly together.
Finally, Cicconi uses her 36mm socket to remove the wheel’s axle nut, which frees the axle.
A TikTok user commented on Cicconi’s video: “How does it feel to wake up every day and know that you are my inspiration?”
Another TikTok account said, “Damn respect I can do all this with these nails.”
