The cool tricks cover everything from new ways to hang up a call to advanced photo and video editing features.

It comes after Apple phones recently received a new update that includes important anti-hacking measures.

Here’s the expert’s top ten list

10. Face Recognition

For his first tip, Maini revealed that Face ID now works in landscape mode.

That means you can unlock your phone in moments no matter how you hold it.

For example, users can now unlock via Face ID to watch a landscape video in full screen without having to rotate their phone.

9. Battery percentage

A new feature for Apple users is the ability to view their exact battery percentage.

In the past you could only see a solid bar as a measure of the charge, now there is a numerical value as with many other devices.

8. Nintendo Switch Linkage

Nintendo Switch controllers can now be connected to your Apple device to play games.

This gives users a console experience on a portable device, especially on phones with larger screens.

While Maini didn’t reveal whether the feature meant mobile games could be played with Switch remotes or Nintendo console games could be played on a phone, it opens up endless possibilities.

7. Instant unit conversion

For those struggling to convert their feet and inches to meters, this feature is a lifesaver.

Units of measure can now be converted with just a tap.

All users have to do is write a unit numerically (e.g. 64 feet) and tap once to get instant and accurate conversions.

6. Lock Screen Color

Users can now customize the color of their lock screen if they want to keep a default theme.

Not only that, but they can change the gradient, meaning the possibilities are almost endless.

If you can think of a color, you can use it on your lock screen.

5 notifications

Another hidden hack allows users to customize how notifications are displayed on the lock screen.

An option at the bottom of the screen opens a settings menu where you can change how notifications are sent to your device.

4. Image isolation in photos

Perhaps the iPhone’s biggest overhaul is the new Photos app.

Image isolation tool allows users to remove background from images.

You can use it to photograph people and change the surrounding image as you wish.

The feature can be applied to all your photos with just one tap.

3. Image isolation for video

Image isolation even works in videos where users just have to pause and then tap and hold on the person they want to isolate from the background.

This is how you can turn videos into the best still images of you and your friends and use them to create your own photos.

2. Photo editing

Another photo hack is the ability to copy and paste edits from one photo to another.

This means you can apply a specific filter to multiple photos.

1. Hey Siri, hang up

And if you get your hands full on a call, you can now say “Hey Siri, hang up” to end a call.

However, if you’re trying to dizzy someone dramatically, this may not be the way to go as it’s pretty easy to see or hear coming.
