Indiana candidate dies after collapsing at polling station


A city council candidate in Indiana collapsed while greeting voters outside a polling station on Tuesday and later died at a hospital.
David “Red” Worrall was a former city councilman seeking a comeback for an at-large seat on the city council.
His death was announced Tuesday afternoon by the Clarksville City Council and City Council, who expressed their condolences to his friends and family.

“David’s commitment to our community was truly commendable,” the city’s statement said. “We will never forget his passion for public service and his unwavering desire to create positive change in our city.”
Clarksville is located in southern Indiana, directly across from Louisville, Kentucky, on the Ohio River.
