Inside, a huge abandoned motorcycle collection that was transported from America in five shipping containers

A HUGE collection of classic bikes has been unveiled online after being abandoned in the US.

Hitchcock’s motorcycles near Solihull uploaded a video to YouTube of the bikes it had transported in five 40ft sea containers.

Hitchcock’s Derek takes viewers on a tour of the collection, which he says has more than 180 bikes.

Derek said: “As well as over 180 bikes we have over 50 tons of spare parts.

“Everything was sent back in five 40-foot sea containers.”

Most motorcycles are British models from brands such as Royal Enfield, BSA, Triumph and Norton.

In addition to complete or nearly complete bicycles, there are hundreds of bicycle frames, a mountain of wheels, and a tower of fuel tanks.

Then there are trays and trays of speedometers and stacks of engines for all types of bikes.

Derek points out that it will take them a while to set things right.

“It will be a labor of love to catalog all of this and get it ready for sale,” he said.

“It could take months, but we’re working hard to get this done and put everything up for sale.”
