Iowa defeats No. 13 IU basketball in Big Ten action

Basketball No. 13 (USA Today) from Indiana enjoys the friendly closeness of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the final week of the regular season, which begins Tuesday night against Iowa.
The Hoosiers (20-9, 11-7 Big Ten) are in a four-team tie for second place in the conference (Maryland, Northwestern, Michigan). The Hawkeyes (18-11, 10-8) are a game behind IU, in a three-way tie for sixth place (Illinois, Rutgers). Both have the opportunity to earn a double bye to next week’s Big Ten tournament in Chicago.
