IRCTC and HDFC Bank team up on co-branded travel credit card

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) and HDFC Bank have partnered to launch a joint travel credit card, the IRCTC HDFC Bank Credit Card. The single card variant is only available on NPCI’s Rupay network.
The credit card was launched in the capital on Wednesday by Rajni Hasija, Chairman & Managing Director, IRCTC, Parag Rao, Group Head – Payments, Consumer Finance, Digital Banking and IT, HDFC Bank and Praveena Rai, COO, NPCI.
“HDFC Bank is one of the largest and most trusted banks in the country. We look forward to working with them on this initiative. The co-branded card offers exclusive access to newly opened state-of-the-art lounges available at most major train stations. The credit card will help streamline online transactions while providing our customers with superior benefits and experience,” said Rajni Hasija, Chairman and CEO of IRCTC.

With RuPay credit cards now enabled for payments on UPI, this co-branded card will provide impetus for further adoption and reach of digital payments across India.
The card offers exclusive benefits and maximum savings on train ticket bookings booked through the IRCTC ticketing website and through the IRCTC Rail Connect app.
In addition, cardholders receive a joining bonus, discounts on bookings and access to several executive lounges at train stations across the country.
