James Tedesco signs extension with Sydney Roosters, Joseph Suaalii, transfers, contracts

The Sydney Roosters have extended skipper James Tedesco’s contract until the end of the 2025 season, which could see him retiring from the club.
“Breaking News Roosters star James Tedesco has re-signed,” Braith Anasta said on NRL 360.
“I’ve been told the Roosters will be issuing a press release which is now appearing on the Daily Telegraph website,” said Phil Rothfield.

James Tedesco, the Australian captain, has extended his contract with the Sydney Roosters until the end of 2025.
“By then he will be 33 years old. I assume this will be Teddy’s last year.
“It leaves the door open for Joseph Suaalii if he’s willing to be patient to take on that fullback jersey in 2026.
But great news for the Roosters. I think they wanted to take the sting out of the story of the competition between two players and they did that to a certain extent by extending Teddy today.”
