Jimmy Kimmel declares 10-20 DoggFather’s Day in honor of Snoop Dogg

There’s a brand new holiday – DoggFather’s Day – and you’ve got Jimmy Kimmel and to thank yourself.
Right on Thursday evening Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the rapper-entrepreneur was a guest and Kimmel pointed out that October 20th was Snoop’s birthday. In the Kimmel household, the host explained, the family makes it a point to celebrate half-birthdays, which, as the name suggests, are six months after the actual birthday.
Kimmel said that last 4-20, the annual day dedicated to all things marijuana, he was thinking about what the half-anniversary of this smoker’s holiday would be, and it dawned on him: 10-20, which is none other than Snoop’s personal birthday is .
Kimmel made the obvious connection — Snoop is famous for his love and support of weed — and then announced with great fanfare that the date would henceforth be known as DoggFather’s Day and presented Snoop with a proclamation honoring him for everything what he had done for the further development of marijuana.
“While Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., known worldwide as Snoop Doggie Dogg, made a significant contribution to the popularization of Marijuana, also known as Weed, also known as Pot, also known as Ganja, Herbs, Buds, Trees, Cheeba, Kush, Chronic, Reefer, thanks, has done, sticky, disgusting, disgusting and funny green giggle sticks…
“While Mr. Dogg’s birthday miraculously falls right in the middle of 4-20, a coincidence that completely baffles me at the moment, we encourage smokers around the world to raise their goblets of gin and juice, theirs To light blunts and spoon them doobies and share their Satan spinach to pay tribute as I, Jizimmy Kizimmel, declare October 20th…DoggFather’s Day!”
A huge banner was then unfurled in front of the studio where the show is being produced.

Kimmel then presented a simulated “congratulations” video clip from well-wishers from around the world, including King Charles, Elton John, Oprah and President Biden.
The very fitting highlight: Pope Francis announced: “If you see smoke coming from my chimney, I am not dead. I celebrate DoggFather’s Day.”
