Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner break their silence on divorce

Joe Jonas And Sophie Turner have finally broken their silence and are speaking out about the end of their marriage…which they describe as “four wonderful years”.

In a joint statement released Wednesday, the two say, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end our marriage amicably.”

They continue, “There’s a lot of speculative narratives as to why, but it’s really a shared decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our desire for privacy for ourselves and our children.”

As we reported, Joe filed for divorce by Sophie on Tuesday in Miami, who is asking for joint custody of their daughters, ages 1 and 3. The couple has a tentative marriage, and according to court documents obtained by TMZ, Joe wants a judge to work out a parenting plan between him and Sophie that allows for “frequent and sustained contact with both parties.”

The documents also show that the children last stayed with Joe in Miami and “other places in the United States” while he and his brothers tour the country.
