Joe Jonas files for divorce from Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas And Sophie Turner are facing a divorce court after TMZ learned that Joe filed legal documents to end his marriage.

Joe is seeking joint custody of their two three-year-old daughters Willa and her 1 year old child.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Joe and Sophie have a marriage — something Joe also addresses in his divorce documents obtained by TMZ. There’s more to it when it comes to their children — including the fact that Joe wants a judge to set up a parenting plan between him and Sophie that allows for “frequent and ongoing contact with both parties.”

Another interesting tidbit in his petition… Joe confirms what we’ve known since this weekend – that the two children have been staying with him lately. Here in the documents, however, he makes sure to note where…Miami, as well as “other locations in the United States.” In other words: He took her with him on the journey during his tour.

The issue of child support is also addressed in Joe’s documents…he says that either parent can provide support for their children and that both parents should be required to do so. With that in mind, JJ wants a Florida court to determine what’s fair… and for the decision to take into account the children’s health insurance.

As for why Joe filed for divorce… a source with direct knowledge tells us… “She likes to party, he likes to stay home. They have very different lifestyles.”

As we reported, Joe was there take care of the children Pretty much all the time for the past 3 months. When it comes time to negotiate a custody agreement, he could be asking for well over 50% physical custody, and according to our sources, that’s likely.

Joe and Sophie began dating in 2016, got engaged the following year, and tied the knot at a ceremony in Las Vegas in 2019.
