Joe Scarborough unleashes minute-long tirade over Biden-Trump poll result
MSNBC‘S Joe Scarborough had a lot to say after a new one Wall Street Journal poll showed the former president donald trump and President Joe Biden There is a possible rematch for the White House in 2024.
In a poll with no other candidates, Trump and Biden tied at 46% each, while the remaining 8% of respondents were undecided.
“46% of Americans support a man who has been impeached four times,” Scarborough said of the current Republican frontrunner on Tuesday’s Morning Joe.
“Charged with Stealing nuclear secrets. Charged with theft war plans. Called rapist by a New York judge who said what he did amounted to rape,” the presenter continued, listing some of Trump’s alleged crimes. “You have a guy who is there charged with his illegal payouts to porn stars. I mean we could go through the list.”
Scarborough did so, listing the former President’s transgressions in a tirade that lasted more than a minute.
“A guy who started a riot 6th January, A rebellion. Had “wrong voters,” had that fraudulent scheme to steal votes by millions and millions of Americans in seven swing states,” he continued. “I mean, I could go on like this: I called the Republican Secretary of State in Georgia and said steal enough votes for me. Find enough votes so I can steal Georgia.”
“46 percent of Americans are voting for the man who promised repeal the constitution to regain power,” Scarborough concluded.
His guest, Washington Post commentator Eugene Robinson, said the numbers were “incredible.”
He said the poll should show Democrats “this is going to be a close election. You can’t take anything for granted.”
“And they’d better get started now because there’s a real risk,” added Robinson. “And I can’t believe I’m saying this: There is a risk that Donald Trump could return to the White House.”
