Jon Favreau wonders who cares about the original versions of Star Wars

Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau is skeptical that the majority of the Star Wars fan base even cares about the original cuts.

May the force be with you – but not necessarily with you You when you think everyone cares about the original war of stars cuts. Jon Favreau, who created the very first live-action war of stars Series, The Mandalorian (and its spin-off, Boba Fett’s book), wonders if there is enough interest in the original theatrical versions.
In conversation with Moovy TVthe presenter showed off his theatrical release to LaserDiscs before asking if Jon Favreau had “enough clout” to get the original versions war of stars Approved.
“Do you think anyone but us, the people who grew up with it, would care?” said Jon Favreau about the original war of stars releases. “Because I know for younger people … that’s what I found out is that the younger people have a very different perception of what war of stars Is. Every generation. For millennials, it’s the prequels. And for younger people – zoomers – sometimes yes The clone wars.”
Sure, those of a certain age insist on the release of the original cuts of war of stars, but Jon Favreau at least raises a few questions, but they are refutable. Would younger generations really care if Han shot first or not? (He did, for the record, and yes, it changes Han’s character traits.) Does it matter who plays the ghost of Anakin Skywalker? (Yes, and it was a lazy attempt by George Lucas to replace Sebastian Shaw.) Does that include the Gunguns? Return of the Jedi? (Ah, who cares, there are plenty of other spasmodic additions.) Admittedly, it’s great to see George Lucas was able to pull out versions that he has wishes he could have madebut a certain group of war of stars Fans would love to have the original cuts. But actually they should at least be available to younger generations to find out what works best for them.
Jon Favreau then redirected the question about the original war of stars cuts, citing The Mandolorianthe intergenerational appeal. “We were trying to say, ‘Hey, let’s try to do something that’s good for us, the people who’ve been watching these movies since they were 10 years old. And could we also make it for… new people who haven’t seen it before? war of stars?”
Do you mean the original? war of stars Cuts are ever released? Does Favreau have a point that maybe it doesn’t even matter? Let us know in the comments section below!
